Creative and Entrepreneurial Thinking in the Music Business

Tunis Workshop with Dr. Meg Paterson (King’s College London)

This in-person workshop explores how creative and entrepreneurial thinking can empower participants to shape their ideas, strengthen their artistic vision, and build a sustainable presence in the music business. It connects creativity with practical business understanding, introducing simple tools for developing and testing ideas, identifying opportunities, and creating and capturing value within artistic practice.

Participants will take part in reflective and hands-on exercises inspired by real artistic and industry experiences. The session encourages curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration while offering an accessible introduction to the business model as a tool for creative growth.

The workshop is open to music producers, educators, professionals, and representatives of cultural institutions who are interested in exploring new ways of connecting creativity, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. It will introduce participants to how creative and entrepreneurial mindsets can strengthen their work, give them simple methods to test and refine ideas, and build confidence in shaping their professional journey with originality and purpose.
