Rap, $keem says, is similar to him and his way of thinking - specifically about his daily experiences and his feelings toward what unfolds around him.
$keem entered the world of music production in 2019, when along with a group of friends, he founded Elevent Records. He wrote his first rap song at the age of 15 and decided then that he would continue in this genre. He is a prolific writer and producer, and has dozens of tracks, most of which have not been published.
Since 2019, he has released 12 songs under different classifications within the rap genre, in which he talks about his human and social experiences, his emotions, dreams and frustrations. In “Ajwa’,” he addresses complications in a love story, while in “New Life,” he talks about his defiance of a prevailing lifestyle. In “Mask Il3asal,” he talks about his experience in rap.
$keem Is working to expand his collaborations with rappers from Palestine and the region and to grow his audience and partnerships outside of Palestine.
Released track FSH SKEEM
A blend of Afrobeats and reggaeton, the song is presented in a Middle Eastern style. This track talks about distance as a direct and metaphorical main theme. $keem probes his thoughts and feelings living at a distance from a lover or friend and asks what could happen if people were to remain nearby, thus finding the space to test the contradictions of thoughts and feelings that can be found in absence and presence.
