Faris Amin

Faris Amin is a cellist and cello teacher from Palestine. His musical journey began at an early age, leading him to explore various musical styles. His activities are not limited to solo performances; he has played with multiple musical ensembles and collaborated with dancers, actors, and poets in diverse artistic performances. He has also created original music for several plays, videos, and short films, both electronic and instrumental. Faris has participated in numerous performances inside and outside of Palestine, showcasing his art in many Arab and European countries with groups such as the Palestine Youth Orchestra, Banat Al-Quds Ensemble, the Arab Orchestra, and Siraj Choir. In addition to performing and playing, Faris composes distinctive musical works that fuse different genres together and often rely on improvisation and experimental composition techniques. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music in Berlin in 2019. Other than that, Faris currently works as a cello teacher at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music and the Al Kamandjati Association, sharing his passion and knowledge with his students and encouraging them to explore the world of music in all its dimensions. Last but not least, Faris also works in community music, bringing music and musical experiences to people for the aim of psycho-social support.
