Lour

Lour Yasin (LOUR) is a pioneering Palestinian artist, singer, songwriter, and composer, celebrated for her powerful contributions to music and theatre. Lour was selected by Tony-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda as a composer fellow, and she has also performed alongside Tony-winning actor Karen Olivo, cementing her place as a significant voice in both fields.

Raised in Jerusalem, Lour is deeply committed to storytelling that addresses social justice and cultural representation. Her unique blend of Arab Pop, genre-fusion, and Palestinian influences resonates with audiences worldwide. Lour has received numerous accolades, including the Chandler Fellowship, the Ruth Scott Sanford Memorial Prize in Theatre (2023), the William W. Kleinhandler Prize for Excellence in Music (2023), and the Ruth Scott Sanford Memorial Award in Theatre (2022). Additionally, she was recognized as QUADIO’s “Artist of the Week” in 2020 when she went viral for her cover of Fairouz's "Kan Ena Tahoun."

Currently, Lour’s Palestinian pop-punk musical, AREA D, will make its Off-Broadway debut at The Public Theatre in NYC in 2025. With a rich background in music and acting from institutions such as the Edward Said Conservatory of Music and Williams College, Lour continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression while amplifying Palestinian voices on a global stage.
Lour has performed sold-out Arab pop shows at Pete's Candy Store, Joe's Pub, The Bowery Electric, and the Sultan Room, making waves in the music scene.
