Tareq Abu Salameh
Tareq Abu Salameh (b. 1990, Jerusalem, Palestine), is a Palestinian composer and songwriter, living in Milan - Italy since 2022. In his music practice he is focusing on exploring musical forms and combinations to discover more of expressions. Tareq has been working as film and theatre scorer for many Palestinian’s films and theatre’s performance, such as, The Reports on Sarah and Saleem (2018), By the Sea (2021). From 2015 to 2021 Tareq developed a project for song writing in Palestine, he worked with several music groups and young adults to form oral stories in songs that presented by himself or the groups.
At present Tareq is working on creating and performing concerts that present particular sound and musical concepts, that has influence over the formation of several musical forms and traditions, using improvisations as a space for experimenting these concepts.
